The Annual Meeting was held at Andrea's Reataurant and there were about 55 attendees.
Dalton called the meeting to order. After the invocation by Bill Meriwether, there was a moment of silence in memory of Dick Fridley, a member who passed during the year. Max Perret a past president and the two new members were acknowledged.
At the conclusion of the meal, the Stockholders meeting began with the President's report followed by the Secretary and Treasurer's Reports.
The Board recommended an assessment to cover the uninsurable loss as a result of Gustav and Ike.
While not required, the Board thought the membership should vote on the assessment and there was a unanimous vote of the members in attendance for the assessment.
The nominating committee of Max Perret and Bill Meriwether nominated the new Board members. They are Conrad Appel, Ted Baer, Allen Deffner, Bobby Hattier, Mike Marsiglia, Billy Stoffle and Dalton Truax, III. The nominations were approved by the membership.
Dalton Truax, Jr. and Lee Mehroff retired from the Board. after many years of service.
A placque was presented to Dalton recognizing his 12 years as president and service to the club in the trying times after Katrina.
The meeting adjourned.
